Lake Ammersee

Lake Ammersee is a large lake located in the state of Bavaria in southern Germany. It is the fourth largest lake in Bavaria and is situated in the region known as Upper Bavaria, about 50 kilometers west of Munich. The lake has a surface area of approximately 47 square kilometers and is up to 11 meters deep. It is fed by the River Ammer and is a popular destination for swimming, boating, and other water sports. The lake is surrounded by beautiful countryside and is home to several small towns and villages, including Herrsching, Breitbrunn, and Utting, which are popular tourist destinations. The lake is also known for its clear, clean water and is home to a variety of fish, including pike, carp, and perch.
