Marienplatz is a central square in the city of Munich, Germany. It is a major transportation hub and is served by several subway lines, including the U-Bahn (subway) lines U1, U2, and U3. The U1 line has a stop at Marienplatz called “Marienplatz (U-Bahn)” and the U2 and U3 lines have a stop at Marienplatz called “Marienplatz (U-Bahn/S-Bahn)”. The Marienplatz subway station is located in the heart of the city and is a major interchange between the U-Bahn and the S-Bahn (commuter rail) systems. From Marienplatz, you can easily access other parts of the city by subway or by one of the many bus or tram lines that serve the area.
