Arrecife, Lanzarote

Arrecife is the capital city of the island of Lanzarote in the Canary Islands, Spain. It is located on the eastern coast of the island, and it is the most populous city on Lanzarote. Arrecife is the administrative and commercial center of the island, and it is home to many government buildings, shops, restaurants, and cultural institutions. The city has a port, which is a major hub for ferry and cruise ship traffic to and from the island. Arrecife is also known for its historic castle which is called Castillo de San Gabriel and built in the 15th century. The castle is now serves as the Museum of International and Contemporary Art. Arrecife city also known for its volcanic landscapes, beaches, and many interesting architecture that was designed by famous local artist César Manrique.
