We did a helicopter tour at the Geirangerfjord – amazing!!

The Geirangerfjord is a fjord located in the western part of Norway, in the county of Møre og Romsdal. It is considered one of the most beautiful and popular fjords in Norway, and it is part of the UNESCO World Heritage site since 2005. The fjord is surrounded by steep cliffs, cascading waterfalls, and lush greenery, and it offers a wide range of outdoor activities, such as hiking, cruising, and fishing.

The Geirangerfjord is around 15 kilometers long and has a maximum depth of around 500 meters. The fjord is surrounded by towering mountains, the highest being the 1,566-meter-high Åkerneset. The most iconic waterfall of the fjord are the Seven Sisters and the Suitor, they are located on the opposite sides of the fjord, and they can be seen from many viewpoints and cruises on the fjord.

The village of Geiranger, located at the end of the fjord, is a popular tourist destination known for its picturesque setting, and it has a number of shops, cafes, and restaurants. There are also several hotels and guesthouses in the area, as well as a visitors center, which provides information about the fjord and its natural and cultural history.

The Geirangerfjord is easily accessible by car, bike, or foot via the famous Eagles Road, one of the most spectacular roads in Norway, which offers fantastic views of the fjord and the surrounding mountains. It’s also possible to take a cruise on the fjord, which allows visitors to experience the full beauty of the fjord.
