That was an intense but successful week at work. Still I could not wait to get out there for a run. I just needed it!!

Running again

Just a couple of weeks ago I started to run again. Last year I was cycling a lot and actually did 5000km in that year. Since I am now also doing quite a bit of scuba diving I simply do have less time for cycling – so instead of a 2.5h cycling tour I just go for a 45 min run now.

PPM – Pain Per Minute

So “Training Efficiency” or calories burned per minute is just higher with running… in other words: “Pain Per Minute” Running is > PPM Cycling. At least for me. 🙂

Slowly getting faster

Today I was going a bit faster – just to see what I can do over a 7000 meter run. Was pleased to see that I can get close to 6 mins / km now. Given that we have really warm summer temperatures in Munich thats OK and in line with my current expectations – although not even close to what I have been able to do 2-3 years ago.

Enough on sports now…
