Few places on Earth capture pure cinematic drama like the Geirangerfjord. On this unforgettable day, we took a helicopter flight with Fonnafly, soaring over glaciers, mountain ridges, and deep valleys that seemed sculpted by time itself. From the cockpit, the world below unfolded in layers — emerald slopes, silver rivers, and distant snowfields glistening in the sun.

One highlight stood out above all: seeing the exact location where Tom Cruise performed his legendary motorbike stunt for Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One. From the air, the Helsetkopen mountain near Hellesylt looked both majestic and terrifying — the spot where Cruise launched his motorcycle off the cliff before opening his parachute mid-air. Knowing that scene was filmed here added an extra pulse of excitement to the already thrilling flight.

As we circled back over the Geirangerfjord, with cruise ships docked far below and the helicopter slicing through the thin mountain air, the sheer scale of Norway’s landscape became clear. It’s a place made for legends — natural ones and cinematic ones alike.
