There’s something special about a day at sea — the calm rhythm of the ocean, the hum of the engines, and the feeling of time slowing down. On our way to Stavanger, we enjoyed a perfect pause between destinations aboard Mein Schiff 5, letting the horizon become our only view.
The weather shifted gently between sun and mist, adding to the quiet mood of the open water. We spent the morning on our two-level suite, a space that felt like a floating home — sunlight pouring in through glass walls, soft chairs by the window, and a private terrace where the sea seemed endless. The air carried nothing but salt and peace.
Up on deck, life was unhurried. The Überschaubar invited guests for coffee or a cool drink, while joggers passed on the wet running track glistening after rain. The ship’s blue surfaces reflected both sky and sea, merging them into one. Everything onboard — from the calm design to the open decks — was made to slow your thoughts and deepen your breath.
This was not just a travel day, but a moment to recharge, to watch the waves and remember why we love being on the move — even when the destination is simply the journey itself.
