August 22 – 24, 2024

This August, Simon and I spent a few exciting days in Cologne for Gamescom 2024 β€” our father–son trip and a long-awaited highlight of the summer. Gamescom has always been one of those events where technology, creativity, and fun come together, and this year was no exception.

From the moment we entered the exhibition halls, we were surrounded by energy β€” lights, sound, and thousands of gamers exploring the latest titles. We tried new releases, watched incredible live demos, and even met a few creators we follow online. The atmosphere was buzzing, and it was great to share that excitement together.

Outside the convention center, we explored Cologne’s old town, visited the impressive KΓΆlner Dom, and enjoyed the views along the Rhine. Standing beneath the cathedral’s towering spires never gets old β€” it’s one of those places that makes you pause and just take it in. Of course, we also grabbed a KΓΆlsch beer (for me) and a soda for Simon by the river before heading back to the hotel.

It was the perfect mix of gaming, sightseeing, and father–son time β€” a few days full of laughter, discovery, and shared memories.
