Gibraltar – Between Rock, Sea & Sky

Our first stop on the cruise was Gibraltar, a fascinating mix of British tradition and Mediterranean atmosphere. We visited the iconic Europa Point Lighthouse, watched the famous Barbary macaques at the Rock, and explored the colorfully illuminated St. Michael’s Cave — one of the highlights of the day.

Another unforgettable sight was the airport runway crossing, where cars and pedestrians wait for planes to land before continuing across the tarmac — something you don’t see anywhere else in Europe. The view from the upper rock combined sea, cliffs, and cityscape in one dramatic panorama — a perfect start to our journey.
