A winter road trip to Texel, the largest Dutch island, driving our Tesla Model S through northern Germany and across the ferry from Den Helder. The weather was grey and windy — perfect for moody coastal scenes and quiet roads.
Charging stops along the way became part of the rhythm of travel, from Superchargers on the Autobahn to smaller stations near the dunes. Once on the island, the red lighthouse at De Cocksdorp stood against dramatic skies, surrounded by endless sand and sea grass moving in the wind.
Between beaches, dunes, and ferry decks, the trip blended modern electric mobility with classic North Sea landscapes — clean lines, open horizons, and the calm simplicity of winter travel.
